Christmas party snobs

I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy holiday season and a prosperous New Year. I also want to urge Christmas party-goers everywhere to thank their hosts for taking the time to invite them into their homes and share the holidays with them. Over the last few weeks, I've heard countless stories from hosts being criticised for their party-throwing skills. As trite as the question may sound, is it not the gesture that counts? As the great philosopher, Charlie Brown, muses, "Isn't there anyone who knows what Christmas is all about?" I myself am honoured if someone even invites me into their home, let alone serves food, drink, and good cheer! I urge everyone to take a deep breath and count themselves lucky that they have friends and family with whom to spend the holidays. I know many people who are not as fortunate. Cheers to all.
